We’re on the list!

Here at Nomad Press, we are all about the kids.

Whenever we’re deciding on new books, we think hard about what topics young people are drawn to. What do students want to read about? What are they excited about? What do they need to read to grow into caring, productive adults? How can we make learning fun? How do we keep them thinking about biology or engineering or the Civil War after the last page has been turned?

We make editorial decisions based on what we hear from teachers, librarians, parents—and, of course, kids themselves—and we publish books that we hope will fill a need. We pack our books with activities, fun facts, QR codes to relevant videos, thoughtful questions to ignite deeper conversations—all in the hopes of reaching a wider audience who will find something in one of our books that sparks their curiosity.

And sometimes, it’s nice to know when we succeed.

We are thrilled to be part of the long list for the Nature Generation Green Earth Book Award! To celebrate, we’re holding a giveaway. Enter below to win your own copies of these two books.
