Kids who are good at reading get better at writing!

One of the many great things about Nomad authors is that often they are also teachers, librarians, and homeschoolers. Many of them work directly with children and have knowledge-based insight into how children learn. That’s what makes their books so useful in classrooms, libraries, and homeschools.

Nomad author Julie Danneberg retired from teaching and took on the task of educating kids through different ways – by becoming a children’s author. She writes both fiction and nonfiction and has some proven ideas for connecting with kids both in and out of school.

In these videos, she shares some key strategies kids can use before, during, and after reading, to help students improve comprehension and become better learners. She uses her most recent book, The Science of Fashion, to drive her points home, but these techniques can be used with any material.
