Why study U.S. history?
We’re living in a pretty remarkable time, and students can gain a much deeper understanding of our world by studying the people, places, events, and attitudes that came before us. History helps put the present in context. Have things always been like this? Do people change? Do governments and other institutions change?
And while we tend to think of hands-on activities as belonging mostly to the realm of science and engineering, history and literature are also great topics to explore via project-based learning! Check out the activities in this book for deep learning to start off the year!
